The menu is a treasure trove for any lover of Vietnamese cuisine. Signature dishes like the Bánh Cuốn Đặc Biệt stand out with their smooth rice rolls paired with vibrant fish sauce, fresh herbs, and crispy shallots. Meanwhile, the Bánh Xèo, often described as a Vietnamese soft taco, crisply cracks with every bite, filled with succulent pork, shrimp, and bean sprouts that create an irresistible medley of tastes. For those seeking heartier options, the Bún Bò Huế—a spicy vermicelli noodle soup with tender beef—offers a fragrant, slightly fiery experience that satisfies the soul.
Diners will also appreciate the thoughtful addition of comforting classics like the BBQ Pork Wrapped in Flour Sheet, the rice with BBQ pork spare ribs, and the fresh, tangy Bún Rêu Ốc. Complementing the meal perfectly, their traditional Vietnamese iced espresso with condensed milk provides a robust, sweet pick-me-up that lingers pleasantly on the palate.
Atmospherically, Bánh Cuốn Tây Hồ 2 doesn’t rely on flashy decor or polished interiors—instead, it charms with an unpretentious, authentic ambiance that highlights what truly matters: the food. Such a good hole in the wall spot for Viet food. Extremely fresh and affordable.
Cute family run spot with some authentic Vietnamese rice crepes. We ordered the Bun bo hue, #1 banh cuon dac biet, and #28 vermicelli bowl with an egg roll and beef. We loved our dishes and especially the banh cuon. They have the textures right and the seasonings on the meats were on point. The fried mung beans and shrimp cakes are delicious. The BBH is a pass for me. They pile on a lot of meat, but the broth and spice are off. My friends and I enjoyed our meal and loved the traditional Vietnamese dishes.
I have been looking for a more authentic, reliable Vietnamese spot in Westminster and I'm excited to say this is probably my new spot. We got the bun thit nuong and the bun rieu. I love how they just give you a whole bottle of nuoc cham on the table. This is not a super fancy, Instagramy place, nor was the service spectacular. I would call this more of a "hole in the wall" place. But - the food was delicious and quickly prepared. It was also pretty reasonably priced, I think each dish was around $13-$14. I would definitely recommend the bun thit nuong if you are not super familiar with Viet food. I will definitely come back next time to try other things!
This restaurant is called Banh Cuon Tay Ho 2 and it has the same name on Google Map. But the Banh Cuon Tay Ho on Yelp is called Banh Cuon Tay Ho 4 on google map. They are selling the same food and same good quality, but I like this 2 than 4. The 4 has more fashion renovation, looks like a modern restaurant. But the 2 has more ethnic feelings. Compare the menus I took photos of from both restaurants, it looks the 4 is a little more expensive-0.25 dollars for each plate. Once I'm in little Saigon, this restaurant is always an option for me as well as Hui Oi and Brodard. I like the rolled cake, especially wrapped with the tropical leaves and mixed with the sweet chili fish sauce. The rolled cake is so soft and the flavor is that good. The fried shrimp tempura with yam is also good, but don't order the whole plate since it's already included in the rolled cake set. The whole plate will be too much to bite. I gave both 2 and 4 for 4-star or 85 in 100.
The food is so fresh and delicious. Customer service and ambiance is minimal but that's because they're working hard to make good food. I'm a freak for the spring rolls. Good sauce selection. Yummy drinks. I can't stop coming back.
Very clean! Got the pork and rice. All the lettuce and veggies are well washed! Everything was nicely packaged. Food is good and create prices
Banh Cuon Tay Ho 2 has been my family's go to place ever since I was a little kid. My parents will take me here when I crave banh xeo and banh cuon. I know they have other food on their menu but their banh xeo and banh cuon are delicious. Their banh xeo is nice and crispy. Their veggie platter they bring out with it are fresh and the banh cuon dat biet is delicious as well. Their restaurant has a nice ambience and their staff was friendly.
I was craving banh xeo this morning but the rest of my family was asleep so I went solo to Bánh Cuốn Tây Hồ 2. When I first entered I thought it was interesting that they had pitchers of tea on every table. Then when I got my banh cuon and they didn’t give me any nuoc mam I realized the pitcher must be nuoc mam. Yes, I probably ordered too much but their name sake includes banh cuon so I figured I just had to have it and my banh xeo that originally brought me out here. Yummy place. They also tolerated my terribly accented Vietnamese ordering :-)
